Husband and wife chef duo Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi met while cooking at New York’s illustrious Alain Ducasse at the Essex House. While both chefs have a distinctly different point of view, their tastes seamlessly blend together to create modern and creative cuisine in their restaurants, Trove, Revel, and Joule. Rachel’s Korean heritage influences her flavors through her impeccable training in classic French technique. Seif, raised in Chicago, and trained in Portland, Oregon, brings a distinctly American flavor to the palate, balancing and complementing his wife both in the kitchen and at home. Their two young sons, Rye and Pike, are often found running around all three restaurants... feel free to high-five them.

Rachel and Seif’s partners in Joule, Revel and Trove are three of Seattle’s most progressive developers, Chad Dale, Bryce Phillips (EVO founder), and Ira Gerlich, all of Evolution Projects. Evolution projects have strong neighborhood focus creating inventive spaces in unexpected and brilliant ways.

Electric Coffin:
Coming from a long lineage of high craftsmanship and creative conceptions, Electric Coffin is a process-driven studio with both established and developing projects amongst Seattle's most unique spaces. Justin, Duffy, and Stefan of EC are truly local material-based makers and curators of fine art objects and conceptual innovation. Justin’s amazing paintings, dynamic visual displays of color and form, can be seen at Revel.

Dovetail:
Since 1991, Dovetail General Contractors has been creating unique, finely crafted residential and commercial buildings in the Puget Sound region. With diverse backgrounds in construction, architecture, engineering, and fine furniture, they gracefully navigate the complexities of a construction project. Dovetail was also GC of Joule and Revel.
